VISION MISSION VALUES MAIN OBJECTIVES HISTORY

 

VISION
Once its development completed, the t3e Group will be part of the Canadian leaders in research, development and training in the field of energy. It will be integrated and networked with national and international organisations of specialized resources working in synergy to promote economic and social development. It will work closely with several companies to boost production of Canadian expertise in energy.

MISSION
The Group assists companies wishing to develop new technologies related to management, production, conversion, retention and optimization of energy use or improve existing technologies. The t3e Group also aims to support companies that want to improve the energy efficiency of their equipments, their processes and systems. Group t33 will also support partners when it comes to carry out studies and energy analyzes for the benefit of others. Its main mandate is, however, the training of highly qualified workers and production of scientific and technological knowledge. It also works closely with international partners in research and training. Finally, the Group aims to be integrated with other academic research institutions, private or public energy to support the development of industry in Quebec and Canada.

MAIN OBJECTIVES
As a summary, the following list includes the specific objectives of the Chair:

  • Develop, test and validate new or existing technologies to meet the needs of Quebecers and taking into account the social and economic aspects of energy consumption always in relation to sustainable development. This is to situate the action in terms of demonstration of the feasibility and environmental and technicoeconomic of technologies, systems and energy policies that could influence the future of Québec. The action therefore concerns both technological showcases and projects involving experiments conducted on the premises of the Group with a partner;
  • To provide business, professional firms, researchers and students a reference center to test and validate ideas, assumptions of economics, conversion, or energy recovery, process innovation, research and discoveries. Assistance may also be a step in an initiative to support industrial or commercial customer to conduct a pilot project structuring and assessing the feasibility;
  • To subscribe in a perspective of concerted action and complementary to groups, centers and laboratories existing on the territory Québec. To participate in the efforts of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Wildlife and Natural Resources Canada to better coordinate the various stakeholders;
  • To support the extension of the results of research, innovation and transfer in the interest of public understanding of the social, economic and environmental energy technologies.
